Mr. Venkatesan Sridar is a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. He is a veteran of the Indian Banking industry, with an illustrious career path spanning 32 years, comprising various positions in public sector banks. Beginning his career in 1975 with Union Bank of India, he advanced through various roles, including Chief Manager, Regional Manager, Assistant General Manager, Deputy General Manager, and ultimately General Manager from 1996 to 2000. In 2000, he was appointed Executive Director of UCO Bank, and in 2002, he became Chairman and Managing Director of National Housing Bank. He later returned to UCO Bank as Chairman and Managing Director in 2004, a position he held until his retirement in July 2007. Under his leadership, UCO Bank experienced significant growth, nearly doubling its business volume and operating profits. He also led the organizational restructuring of the bank, focusing on strategic customer segmentation. He has also served as an Independent Director on the Board of several private sector companies in the financial sector like ICICI Bank Limited, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance company, Bandhan Mutual Fund Trustee Limited, Aadhar Housing Finance Limited.
Mr. Raj Vikash Verma is a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. With a career spanning over 40 years in the financial and mortgage sector, he has worked in various capacities including development finance, regulatory and supervisory functions, mortgage and housing related policy and programme implementation areas. His knowledge and work experience also relate to several aspects of innovative financial services initiatives for low income and affordable housing. He served as the Chairman and Managing Director of National Housing Bank, a Whole Time Member and officiating Chairperson of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority and Registrar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Central Registry of Securitization Asset Reconstruction and Security Interest of India (CERSAI). Mr. Verma is also a Member of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
Mr. Verma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics (Honours) from Hindu College, University of Delhi, and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi, and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
Mr. Subrata Dutta Gupta is a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company. He has a rich experience of more than 35 years in Asset-based Financing, with 20 years dedicated to the Mortgage industry in India and 11 years to Development Finance. His domain expertise has been in investment and advisory services related to the mortgage industry, covering areas like strategic planning, business plan, underwriting and policy formulation. He has extensive experience in mentoring the workforce at startups in the Housing Finance sector, grooming and upskilling them on lending to the informal and low income borrowers, including developing business plans and data analytics platforms.
Mr. Dutta Gupta worked at the International Financial Corporation (‘IFC’), World Bank Group for more than a decade from 2008 to 2019 and retired as the Principal Financial Officer of IFC. During his stint at IFC, he worked in South Asia, South East Asia, and Central Asia. He has also been associated with BHW Birla Home Finance as the Managing Director, with SREI International Finance as Senior Vice President and with Classic Financial Services & Enterprises Ltd. as the Regional Manager for Operations.
Mr. Dutta Gupta holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics.
Mona has over 30 years of experience in banking and impact investing. She is currently (2020 – Present) a Partner at UC Impower, an early-growth stage equity fund, incubated by Unitus Capital. UC Impower invests in financial inclusion and climate solutions and has a gender-lens on investments. Previously, at Caspian Impact Investment Adviser (2007-2019), she managed the India Financial Inclusion Fund, a growth equity fund focused on inclusive finance; she was on the credit and investment committees of subsequent funds launched by Caspian. As a board member of early, growth as well as mature companies, she has played an active role in shaping their strategies. She started her career at Citibank (1994-2007), where she worked across various retail asset businesses and led the bank’s foray into Inclusive Finance in 2005. Mona graduated in Mathematics (Hons.) from Delhi University (1992) and holds an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur (1994). She completed an executive program in Private Equity from Said Business School, Oxford University, in 2010.
Mr. Susanta Kumar Padhi, is a Nominee Director of the Company representing National Housing Bank, Shareholder of the Company. He is presently serving as General Manager, Department of Supervision in National Housing Bank. Mr. SK Padhi has versatile experience of handling crucial portfolios viz. Supervision, Large Projects, Audit, ITD, HR, Govt. Schemes, and has played an instrumental role in the implementation of various key projects in NHB like ERP solution, MIS projects, ADF project, IT Security. Mr. SK Padhi was associated with CERSAI as a Nominee Director representing NHB since its inception and was instrumental in successful launch of the Central Registry System and CKYC System. As a Board Member, he contributed towards strengthening of the CERSAI and CKYC systems, initial system conceptualization of BUDS registry, technology infrastructure of CERSAI, etc.
Mr. SK Padhi has been associated with various working groups constituted by RBI and SEBI on Cyber Security, Valuation and others.
He has also served in Canara Bank for over 12 years. He was a member of the Core Team for implementation of Banking Solutions at Canara Bank including recovery, pension system, centralized accounting solution, etc.
Mr. SK Padhi was also a member of the project implementation Committees in various other institutions like HUDCO, IIFCL and CERSAI. He possesses B.Sc. Hons (Physics) and M.Sc. (Physics) degrees from the University of Berhampur, Odisha and holds PGDCA. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers.
Shri Ratnakar Patnaik has taken charge as Managing Director of Life Insurance Corporation of India on 1st June 2025. Prior to taking charge as the Managing Director, he was Executive Director (Investment – Front Office) & Chief Investment Officer.
Shri Patnaik joined Life Insurance Corporation of India in September 1990 as Assistant Administrative Officer. He has worked across four Zones of the Corporation in various capacities including 10 years as Branch-In-Charge.
During his long stint of 22 years in conventional marketing, he was Marketing Manager of Asansol & KMDO-1 Divisions under EZ. He headed Indore and Jamshedpur Divisions as Senior Divisional Manager before taking charge of the Chief Life Insurance Advisor (CLIA) Channel of Eastern Zone at Kolkata as Regional Manager (Marketing – CLIA). On promotion to the cadre of Zonal Manager, he started his tenure in Investment – Front Office in May 2021 as Chief (Investment), Central Office, Mumbai. Thereafter, on promotion to the cadre of Zonal Manager (Selection), he took charge as Executive Director (Investment- Front Office) & Chief Investment Officer of the Corporation in April 2023.
Shri Patnaik is a post graduate in Public Administration and has majors in Physics in graduation. He is a Fellow of Insurance Institute of India and holds a Diploma in Health insurance from the same institute.
Shri Patnaik strongly believes in Team Work and has empathetic people sense. He takes avid interest in sports, movies and meeting people.
Mr. Arup Kumar Rakshit is the Nominee Director representing HDFC Bank Limited, a shareholder of the Company. A banker by profession, Mr. Arup Kumar Rakshit is the Group Head Treasury of HDFC Bank Limited and has an experience of 31 years. HDFC Bank Limited since 2006. His work experience also extends to Deutsche Bank and ABN AMRO where he was in charge of Treasury Sales.
He holds a BTech Degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras, Hindu University, Varanasi and a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration from IIM Calcutta. He is an active Member of the Management Committee – FEDAI (Foreign Exchange Dealers Association of India) and India Forex Committee (Indian Chapter of Global Forex Committee).
Mr. Vijay Deshwal is a Nominee Director representing Aditya Birla Housing Finance Limited, a shareholder of the Company. He is a Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Investor Relations at Aditya Birla Capital. He is a seasoned banker with over two decades of diversified experience across banking, corporate finance, international business and operations. In his previous experiences, Mr. Deshwal was with the ICICI Bank for over 15 years and held a solid track record of growing the businesses around the pillars of customer-centricity and profitability. He was credited with the setting up of the highly successful services sector franchise including new age businesses, driving the liability strategy for the corporate ecosystem, and the loan syndications’ practice at the bank. Mr. Deshwal has a vast understanding of various asset classes, cyclicity of businesses and key metrics for creating profitable financial services businesses.
He is a noted speaker at various national and international industry forums including the Asia Pacific Loan Management Association, India Chapter and the Global Transaction Banking Congress by Euromoney, Amsterdam.
He is a Post-Graduate in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Mr. Kulasekhara Chakravarthy is the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He has over 39 years of experience, of which for 24 years he was associated with Andhra Bank in various positions. Mr. Chakravarthy has expertise in Treasury operations and Resource raising. He joined National Housing Bank (“NHB”) in 2007 as an Assistant General Manager, heading Treasury operations. He was involved in raising resources through Non-Convertible Debentures and other sources like international borrowing from Multilateral/Bilateral Institution. At a policy level, he was associated with various Committees, including the team that had initiated the guidelines for “External Commercial Borrowing (“ECB”) for affordable Housing projects” and their processing within NHB. Mr. Chakravarthy was also present before the Reserve Bank of India (“RBI”) Committee on Promotion and Development of RMBS market in India. He has initiated the project within NHB for setting of Special Purpose Vehicle for promotion and development of RMBS in India.
Mr. Chakravarthy holds a Bachelors Degree in Science (“BSc”) with Physics Honors and holds a MBA degree. He also holds a Diploma in Treasury Management issued by Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
